Specialty coffee of Dominican Republic
In this wonderful island of La Hispaniola where the conquesters
became fascinated by the incomparable beauty of its nature, is the
Dominican Republic. This Caribbean paradise is among the first countries
in the New World where coffee was grown . Since then, in 1735, it
quickly spread throughout the national territory, becoming one of
the most important agricultural crops.

The dominican specialty coffee arises from a careful process,
starting with a harvest at the peak of maturation, along with a
perfectly controlled fermentation and a natural drying in the sun.
Its cultivation covers the four major mountain ranges: Cordillera
Central, Northern Cordillera, Sierra de Neyba and Sierra de Bahoruco
and has a social impact, contributing to the conservation of the
environment, the livelihood of many families and also generate employment
for rural women engaged in hand picking, ensuring a unique classification
of grains, free of defects.
