This Caribbean paradise is among the first countries that grows coffee in the New World. Since its emerged in 1735, quickly spread throughout the national territory, becoming one of the most important agricultural crops.

The dominican specialty coffee arises from a careful process, starting with a harvest at the peak of maturation, along with a perfectly controlled fermentation and a natural drying in the sun. Its cultivation covers the four major mountain ranges: Cordillera Central, Northern Cordillera Sierra de Neyba and Sierra de Bahoruco and has a social impact, contributing to the conservation of the environment, the livelihood of many families and also generate employment for rural women engaged the hand picking, ensuring a unique classification of grains, free of defects.
